As a corporation, HPCI is pleased to provide assistance to those Not-For-Profit organizations who are working for the benefit of our community. Understanding that resources are limited, HPCI is committed to stretching those dollars even further by ensuring that all wireless telecom costs are as low as possible. To guarantee that, HPCI will waive all consulting fees for a select number of organizations throughout the year.

Meals on Wheels - "Adopt-a-Route" - May 2013
We are very happy to announce that the team at HPCI has adopted a route with Meals on Wheels where we go out weekly to deliver nutritious meals. We are all enjoying spending an hour or so away from the office and highly recommend it for other businesses as a way to give back to the community and have some fun doing it.

Calgary Food Bank - December 2011
In keeping with tradition, and the spirit of giving, HPCI has chosen to make a donation to the Calgary Food Bank this year, in lieu of sending out printed holiday greetings to all of our supporters. Join us once again?

Calgary Police Association Stampede Picnic: July 2011
The Calgary Police Association is hosting a Stampede Picnic on July 9th this year for less fortunate children in the Calgary/Airdrie area. HPCI is proud to continue our support of the Calgary Police Association in their community outreach programs, by sponsoring 10 kids to attend this event. Their goal for their first inaugural Stampede Picnic is to have 500 children sponsored.
Calgary Food Bank: December 2010
Although we have consistently supported the Calgary Food Bank throughout the years with various food donations, we were taken aback to learn that donations go 4 times as far if made in cash. The food bank's ability to buy at wholesale prices means that every $1 donated allows them to buy $4 (retail value) of food.
HPCI was thrilled to support the Calgary Food Bank once again this holiday season by sending out electronic Christmas cards to our Clients and collegues; donating our anticipated printing costs to the food bank, while encouraging the recipients of the cards to join us in our efforts.
Haitian Relief Effort: January 2010
In response to the devasting earthquake on January 12th that resulted in the loss of over 200,000 people and an estimated loss of 15% of the country's GDP , HPCI has made a contribution to the Red Cross.
HPCI is encouraging all visitiors to please consider giving generously to this worthy cause. The Canadian government has set up a program whereby individual donations made prior to February 12th, 2010 will be matched by the government (up to a maximum of 50 million dollars). Details on the program may be found here. Online donations to the Red Cross may be made by clicking on this link.
HPCI itself is encouraging staff and management alike to make their own contributions prior to February 12th in order to take advantage of the goverment offer, and by way of added incentive has committed to match every dollar contributed by a member of our team by way of a second corporate donation.
CIBC's Run for the cure: Sunday, October 4, 2009/10
HPCI was pleased to sponsor our Client Services Manager, Megan Merriam, who participated in the 5k run. Megan had a great time and finished the course in 33 minutes. "It's so important for all of us to help wherever we can. Breast Cancer is affecting so many of us that we just can't afford not to take an active role in the fight against this disease." ~ Megan Merriam
Update: When Megan requested another donation be made in 2010, we readily agreed. And in the spirit of competition and superior performance, HPCI suggested that we would Increase our donation over last year by the same percentage by which she was able to Decrease her time in the race! Megan pulled out all the stops and decreased her time by 15%, resulting in a 15% increase in our donation. Congratulations Megan!!!!
The Werklund Foundation: Continuous
Our founder and President Heather Pauls, has been an enthusiastic supporter of Leadership Training as provided by the Rapport Leadership Network for many years. Recently however, Ms. Pauls was given the opportunity to help facilitate Teen Leadership Breakthrough, being offered to Calgary area highschool students, supported generously by The Werklund Foundation. Her next weekend is scheduled for March 18-20, 2010.
"As the weekends approach, I usually find myself wondering why I agreed to volunteer for a full 48 hour stint. It always seems daunting, exhausting and inconvenient. Life's gotten busy and it never feels like there's enough hours in the day as it is. I pride myself on my willingness to follow through with commitments however, so I reluctantly pack my sleeping bag and small bag, kiss my children goodbye and take off for the camp. Invariably, within the first hour of my arrival, I've come full circle and realize that there's no other place in the world that I need to be in that moment. By the end of the weekend, I've seen teenagers change their present as well as their future. They've become new people, with a new appreciation and respect for themselves and those around them. Without a doubt, I see each and every moment spent witnessing the transformation of these teenagers as a priviledge and a gift. I can't wait to do it again." ~ Heather Pauls
